๐งจ Shooter (2007) – Plot Synopsis
Bob Lee Swagger is one of the best snipers the U.S. military has ever seen — highly skilled, deeply principled, and haunted by a failed mission that cost his best friend’s life. After retiring from service, Swagger isolates himself in the mountains, far from a world he no longer trusts.
But his quiet life is interrupted when Colonel Isaac Johnson contacts him, claiming there's intel about an assassination plot targeting the President. The government needs Swagger’s expertise to predict how a sniper might pull it off. Reluctantly, Swagger agrees.
Big mistake.
The entire operation is a setup, and Swagger is framed as the assassin. Shot and on the run, he becomes the most wanted man in America, hunted by military officials, law enforcement, and secret contractors — all working to protect a deadly truth.
Swagger turns to Sarah Fenn, the widow of his former spotter, and Nick Memphis, a young FBI agent who suspects something is wrong. With their help, he uncovers a dark conspiracy involving high-level political corruption, illegal arms deals, and war crimes covered up by those in power.
Every move is calculated. Every shot counts. As Swagger fights to survive, he's not just proving his innocence — he's serving justice, sniper-style.
